GCPAAA 10th Annual Golf Tournament
Saturday, October 18th

The Gilbert Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association is holding their 10th annual golf tournament. This organization consists of all volunteers which supports and assists the Gilbert Police Department. Monies raised from this Tournament will be used for education, equipment and supplies for the Gilbert Police Department and Crime Prevention Unit.
The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, October 18th at 7:30am at the Western Skies Golf Club. The format is a four-person scramble with 4 closest to the pin contests, a longest drive contest, and trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and most honest foursomes.
Entry is $70 per person and includes green fees, golf cart, range balls, continental breakfast and lunch. There will also be great raffles prizes and a special silent auction. To register or for more information please contact Dan Weale at (480) 899-3919 / dweale@cox.net.

You may have recently seen the extensive coverage about the escalating number of home foreclosures in the Valley. Many of these homowners are moving without their pets, leaving them behind in backyards, abandoning them in neighborhoods or on the side of the road. Lost Our Home Pet Foundation's misssion is to rescue, foster, heal, adopt and advocate for dogs or cats who have been abandoned or left behind due to foreclosure or eviciton.

3rd Annual Arizona Celebrity Golf Classic
Sunday, November 16th - Monday, November 17th

Attention Golfers & Sports Fans… Join Hall of Famers Fergie Jenkins, Meadowlark Lemon, Ernie Banks, Juan Marichal, and Rollie Fingers, plus 35 other sports celebrities for the 3rd annual Arizona Celebrity Golf Classic at the Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa in Litchfield Park, Arizona on November 16-17. Proceeds support the Ferguson Jenkins Foundation and the St. Mary’s Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Red Cross, JDRF, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Rotary International.
The golf tournament will be on Monday November 17th with a shotgun start at 10 am. The format is scramble, best ball, and each foursome will golf with one of the sports celebrities.
The cost is just $425 per person and this includes 2 rounds of golf, meet & greet, lunch on Monday and the awards dinner Monday night. Register early and select your celebrity for an additional $500 donation.
